What a Roofer Does
A roofer's job is finding the fault, and the fault is hardly ever where the water shows up. So the first thing we do on any roof is get up there and look, with a camera, and we send you the photos with the price so you can see the crack in the lead or the tile hanging by its nib for yourself. Slipped and broken tiles go back like for like, or the nearest match if the tile is no longer made. Leaks get traced to where they start, whether that is a lifted flashing, a verge with the mortar gone or a back gutter behind the chimney full of moss. When a roof has reached the point where every repair is buying six months we say so, and a re-roof goes on from the strip-off up: new battens, breathable membrane, tiles or slates fixed for a coastal wind zone and a dry ridge that has no mortar to crack. Flat roofs over extensions, garages and dormers go on in felt, GRP fibreglass or EPDM rubber, with the deck replaced where the old one has gone soft. Chimneys and gutters get looked at on the same visit, because they usually go together with whatever is leaking. We organise the scaffold, the skip and the materials, you get a start date before anything begins, and the site is left clean on the last day with the gutters cleared and the drive swept.

No. The visit and the written quote are free, for a single slipped tile or a whole roof.
Do you do small jobs?
Yes. Gutter cleaning from £39, a handful of slipped tiles, a leaking outlet, a bit of lead. Small jobs are how most people meet us.
Do I need scaffolding?
For most work above single storey, yes, and we arrange it as part of the job. For gutter cleaning and small repairs on a bungalow or an extension, usually not.
What if I am not sure what the problem is?
